Mental Health Therapist in Ames, Iowa

We are seeking an Iowa licensed and experienced mental health therapist to join our multidisciplinary practice based in Ames, Iowa. Our practice consists of one full time psychiatrist, a physician assistant, a registered dietitian, and 5 mental health therapists. We desire a therapist with particular interest and experience in women's issues and eating disorders, although additional interest in working with adolescents and young children using play and other therapies would be highly desirable. This opportunity may be part time or full time, based on the therapist's interests and needs as well as ability to grow their practice through networking in the local area.
 
Our practice is a corporate practice in which all providers are employees of the corporation. As employees, all are eligible for certain fringe benefits, including reimbursement for license and credentialing fees, paid malpractice insurance, an annual training allowance, and a 401(k) retirement and profit sharing plan. Because our founder and medical director is a board certified psychiatrist, you would have immediate and ongoing access to psychiatric consultation and support which makes this opportunity even more inviting to an experienced therapist. Our office is open until 8:30PM four evenings per week due to peak service demand during those hours, so providers willing to offer evening appointments 2-3 evenings per week are our most highly productive staff members.
 
Ames is located in central Iowa, 30 miles north of Iowa's capital city. It is the home of Iowa State University, so there are many educational and cultural opportunities here. The Ames Community School District is consistently ranked as one of the top school districts in the country in terms of academic achievement. In addition to a license to practice independently as an LMHC, LMFT, or LISW, any candidate currently credentialed as a provider with United Behavioral Health and Magellan Behavioral Health would be given particular consideration.
